ISO 4217 Currency Codes are an internationally recognised data interchange standard for the identification of currencies.
The basic coding system consists of a three letter identifier for each currency, together with a numeric alternative;
for more information visit the
ISO Website. ISO 4217 codes are a widely adopted standard,
and are used extensively throughout our software.
Using the tool below you can choose to organise the list of currencies by either their ISO 4217 code, or their name.
If you click on an entry in the list, a popup window will appear showing information about that currency,
including its: name, ISO 4217 mnemonic and numeric codes, and the countries which use it as their official currency.
If you then click on a country in that list, a further popup will appear showing the position of that country using
Google Maps.
Note: You must have 'popups' enabled for this tool to work.
