Unlocking Software Licenses
When a software product has been downloaded, it must be 'unlocked' before it can be used. The unlock process is started
automatically when a newly installed product is first started up. The user is prompted, and then the software completes
the process automatically.
Exactly the same procedure is followed for Java and .Net software products, the screenshots shown below are for the Java
versions of the user dialogs.
Before You Can Unlock a Software Product
You will need to have:
- A copy of the relevant software.
- A 20 character product unlock code.
- An EMail address, to be used as an account id.
The 'Unlock' Dialog Boxes
1. - The First Dialog Box
This is shown below, and is launched automatically when a software product is first started.
2. - The Second Dialog Box
You should enter your email address and product license key into the fields shown. The license key is
20 characters long, consisting of the numerals 0-9 and the letters A-Z, excluding the letters: 'I', 'O', 'S' and 'Z'.
-
The license key is provided to you, on request, either by us or a reseller.
-
If you have registered on our web site, then you can see details of your licenses on-line, in your
Account Details.
3. - The Final Dialog Box
This is shown when the unlock process has been completed, and the license unlock file has been successfuly installed on the
target machine. This provides a summary of the product/license details. Once you click 'OK', the software will be ready to run.
If you were connected to the Internet when you performed the unlock process, then you will also receive confirmation of
the details by email.
